Admission Process
Initial formation
Initial formation of the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament is the beginning of a lifelong process based on our relationship with Jesus the Word Incarnate. It consists of the following phases: Pre-Novitiate, Novitiate, Temporary Profession
Requirements for Admission
The person seeking admission to the Initial Formation program must be a single, Catholic woman who:
- is between the ages of 21-50
- has completed a high school education or the equivalent
- demonstrates maturity that gives her the ability to live interdependently and happily
- enjoys the health and reasonable intelligence needed for life in ministry and our community
- demonstrates a spirituality compatible with ours
- demonstrates skills for community living
- has an adequate knowledge of her Catholic faith
- has the necessary knowledge, skills and interest needed to serve in a way that fits our mission to evangelize
- is free from responsibilities to family, spouse, and any others
- is in the process of being debt free
During the process of discernment, an applicant is expected to meet regularly with the Vocation Director.
