Sister Annette Wagner, Sister Rosa Ortiz, and Sister Anna Marie Espinosa participated in the first ever virtual National Assembly of LCWR (Leadership Conference of Women Religious). In August, members of the LCWR welcomed close to 900 people from across the United States and at least 13 countries to the three-day virtual assembly.
Participants explored together the impact of COVID-19 and new understandings of racism on the mission and lives of Catholic sisters. Through presentations, prayer, and small group conversations, the members shared insights on how to lead in such an uncertain time and how they might learn from and support one another as leaders. This assembly provided time for prayer, clarity and unity.
