Immigration
Immigration Commitment
We are committed to address and respond to the plight of the immigrants at the Southern border of Texas. These people have experienced natural disasters, political violence, poverty and the reality of being displaced people.
We aim to bring relief and hope to these weary refugees who are seeking admittance to the United States. We hope to make a difference in their lives by providing food, clothes, hygiene articles and shelter (e.g. tents and tarps).
Catholic Charities Prepares for Migrant Arrivals
In anticipation of an influx of migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border, Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley is preparing to provide services to those arriving. Executive Director Sister Norma Pimentel said they would provide whatever these people need, including short-term quarantine housing.
